Important context on the limits of automated extraction, AI assistance, and compiled output.
This page is about the accuracy of automated tools, not your ownership of your work. Your manuscript remains your intellectual property at every step; see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for details.
AI extraction is a starting point
When you upload a manuscript, TeXpress uses AI to extract its title, abstract, authors, sections, figures, tables, equations, and references. This extraction is automated and can misread formatting, split content incorrectly, or miss details, especially in complex or unusually formatted documents. Always review every tab before generating LaTeX, and treat the extracted result as a draft you are responsible for checking, not a finished product.
"Fix with AI" is not guaranteed
The "Fix with AI" feature suggests changes to resolve LaTeX compile errors using an AI model. It can improve your document, but it is not guaranteed to fix every error, and it may occasionally introduce unintended changes. Review the diff before accepting a fix, and keep in mind that complex or unusual errors may still require manual correction.
Compiled PDFs are not a substitute for publisher checks
TeXpress compiles your document against the journal template you select, but a successful compile does not guarantee acceptance by that journal, compliance with every formatting rule, or freedom from typographical issues. Always verify your final PDF against your target journal's current author guidelines before submission.
No professional advice
Nothing in TeXpress constitutes legal, academic integrity, or publishing advice. You are responsible for ensuring your submission complies with your target journal's policies and any applicable academic integrity standards.
Third party AI providers
AI extraction and fix features are powered by third party AI providers. Their availability, accuracy, and response times are outside our direct control and can vary. Your content is sent to them only to process your request, and is never used to train their models.
